ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP BY RESIDENCY

Non-EU citizens can apply for Italian citizenship after at least 10 years of legal residency in Italy, while EU citizens can apply after 4 years. The required residency period for foreigners whose parents or grandparents were Italian by birth is 2 years.
