The price covers the translation of all one-page US documents such as birth certificates, marriage licenses/certificates, and death certificates. All the other documents, including divorce decrees, are priced by page. The credentials of our translators are provided upon request.

We procure Italian vital records from towns and municipalities throughout Italy.

The price includes the preparation of your records, requests to the Italian public source, and follow-up contacts by our procurement specialists in Italy, if needed. This will include calls, faxes and/or emails to complete your order as well as the mailing of records back to you.

We will forward the information that you send us to the appropriate office. We then call the appropriate office where the records are kept. Once we have spoken to the records clerk, we send a formal request by letter along with any other requirements that they may have. We follow up with additional inquiries spaced one week apart until we receive your document/s or a certified letter stating that there is no record for the name and dates submitted.

Are you an Italian citizen by birth or a newly recognized Italian citizen and want to pass citizenship to your children?

Minor children of Italian citizens may be recognized if the parent makes a declaration by 11:59 PM Rome Time on May 31, 2026.

After this date, minor children can be recognized by meeting either of the following conditions:

• The parent makes a declaration within one year of the birth (or date of adoption) of the minor
• The parent makes a declaration and the minor legally resides in Italy for at least two consecutive years
