By September 2019 I received my recognition letter and I am now an Italian citizen. Marco and Francesca provided excellent service throughout the process. My highest recommendation to ICA. They are smart, hard working, thorough and effective. My application was particularly complicated and involved interfacing with three consulates and several municipalities in Italy. The entire process took over two and a half years, and required dozens of interventions, meetings, phone calls and correspondence. Marco, Susanna and their team worked with me at every stage. They came up with creative and effective solutions to each bureaucratic obstacle. Most impressive was their tenacity and professionalism for nearly two years *after* I had fully paid. My journey to gain my Italian Citizenship started over two years ago. I looked up the requirements and thought that I could handle it all myself. I set up my own appointment with the Italian Consulate. When I realized that it would be a bit more difficult than I had anticipated, I turned to the internet to see who could assist me. I contacted ICA, showed them everything I had and they took it from there. They salvaged whatever they could from with the work I had already done and used their expertise and contacts to get the required Italian documents, translations and Apostilles. After they collected all my documents and verified that all was in order, the consulate representative gave me signed documentation that my file was complete. They would contact me by email in about one year. In the meantime, there are appointments set up for my adult children and they will apply as well, using ICA of course! Lastly, I was very impressed with Gloria and Marco‘s responsiveness. They responded quickly to all phone calls and emails. I was also impressed with their patience. I, of course, had many questions and they gladly answered them. While the path to Italian Citizenship is not impossible, with everything that goes on in daily life, it was worth it for me to hire ICA to handle everything!

Being the son of proud Italian immigrants who have since passed on, the thought of obtaining my Italian citizenship was a way to honor their memory. When my mother passed away in 2012, I went through her papers to find a treasure of personal artifacts including her original birth and marriage certificates, my father’s Naturalization certificate, passport and numerous other documents. This gave me the inspiration to pursue dual citizenship through my father. I thought…how difficult could this be? As I tried to navigate my way through the process, it was clear I was no match for the seemingly endless research and documentation I would have to procure. Working full time and taking on this overwhelming task wasn’t going to get the job done. After researching various firms who assist with obtaining citizenship, I selected the Italian Citizenship Assistance organization (ICA). Since the documents that I maintained were outdated and additional documents would be required, I selected the Full-Service program from ICA. They obtained on my behalf all of the required documents for citizenship application, which included some complex navigation on their part. For instance: my birth certificate had my parents’ names spelled incorrectly (my father’s first name and my mother’s maiden name). They helped me work through the correction along with obtaining my father’s naturalization records through a FOIA request. They also scheduled my appointment with the Italian Consulate in Philadelphia. This firm is absolutely amazing. They truly understand what is needed to obtain Italian citizenship. I can’t even imagine anyone trying to do this on their own.

I just got my application in to the Italian Consulate in Paris yesterday! I’m applying as the spouse of an Italian citizen (my wife was born as an American but got Italian citizenship through birth).
My wife and I spent 5 very long years getting endless run-around from the Italian consulate (in Chicago) since we did her application on her own. I literally spent hundreds of hours trying to figure this out on my own, and it was nothing short of a nightmare waste of time. It could’ve taken a year if I worked with ICA on this. When it was time to do my application, I knew I had to find someone to help me.

We used Italian Citizenship Assistance for advice and guidance in obtaining my wife’s Italian citizenship by marriage. From our very first encounter through our interview at the consulate ICA extremely helpful at each step. The professionals at ICA are incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. They made this complex and stressful procedure as easy as it could be.
