Dea MARZIC

Dea graduated in English Language and Literature and Art History in 2017. While at university, she carried out research on sociolinguistics and modern art. Dea has participated in several international conferences where she was able to learn more about her areas of interest. Dea was eager to work in a field that directly involved communicating with others and helping them to achieve their goals.

Here at ICA, Dea’s interest in research and different cultures have made her an expert in complex Italian citizenship by descent cases. Her duties include extensive genealogical research and procuring the legal paperwork required for citizenship cases. One of her main areas of focus is reviewing and amending discrepancies in documentation. Dea also assists our clients with preparing for their interviews at the Italian consulates in the US by providing them with useful tips regarding how to present and submit documents.

In her free time Dea enjoys reading, visiting art exhibitions and working on art projects. She is fluent in Italian, English and Croatian.

RITA PISTORE

Rita graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice in 2017. After having focused on English and Russian language and culture during her undergraduate degree, she decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Intercultural Development of Tourism Systems.

Throughout her years at university Rita lived and studied in Tula, Russia, and Split, Croatia. Her academic experiences enabled her to learn about different cultures and lifestyles, and to meet people from different academic and cultural backgrounds, which motivated her to learn more about her own culture. In 2019 Rita worked for an Italian cultural organization in Baku, where she organized seminars and events and wrote articles to promote Italian culture in Azerbaijan.

At ICA Rita assists clients throughout the process of obtaining Italian citizenship by descent, from carrying out genealogical research to retrieving and amending the documentation needed to apply. She is very detail-oriented and she has in-depth knowledge of the laws that regulate the process of obtaining Italian citizenship. Rita works mostly for ICA’s US clients and she acts as liaison between clients and the Italian consulates in the US.

Besides traveling and learning about history, art and culture, Rita loves music. She speaks English, Russian, Croatian and German.

MICHELLE PRINI

Michelle was born in Italy and she grew up in Malaysia where she attended a top tier International School, making English her mother tongue. Michelle studied at Kingston University in London where she graduated with an upper division first class honors in Psychology with Spanish. After graduating, Michelle worked for a well-known international cultural organization, which worked alongside the Italian Consulates and Embassies in the United Kingdom, Dubai, Malaysia, Kuwait and Singapore. In particular, she taught Italian as a second language to both adults and children.

Having spent most of her adolescence moving from one country to another, Michelle fell in love with travelling. She enjoys learning about new places, trying foreign cuisines, meeting people from different cultural backgrounds and most importantly, immersing herself into new cultures – which at times have been challenging yet thrilling opportunities. These experiences have allowed Michelle to become an open-minded individual with a high regard and passion for interacting with new and diverse individuals.

At ICA Michelle works as an Italian Citizenship Specialist and she focuses on preparing citizenship applications which need to be filed at Italian consulates outside of the U.S.

Some of her day-to-day responsibilities include conducting genealogical research and procuring all the necessary documents for citizenship applications. In particular, she is specialized in legalizing and translating foreign records issued by countries outside of the U.S. Michelle is also one of ICA’s client intake team members and she provides potential clients with information regarding the eligibility requirements and the application process to acquire Italian citizenship by descent and by marriage.

In her free time Michelle enjoys reading, exploring new places and watching movies and tv shows in different languages. Michelle is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish.

ANDREA ZELJEZNJAK

“1948 CASE” SPECIALIST

Andrea was born in Rijeka, Croatia. After finishing high school she moved to Udine, Italy, where she obtained an MA degree in Foreign Languages and Literature in 2018.

After graduating from university, Andrea worked for a promotional agency that managed marketing and advertising campaigns for various companies. She also worked in a well-known ethnographic museum in Udine, where visitors could learn about Italian history from the 19th century onwards. In particular, while Andrea was working in the museum, she became passionate about Italian migration waves to the United States, which sparked her interest in Italian citizenship by descent.

At ICA, she helps clients apply for Italian citizenship via Italian consulates in the U.S. and also via judicial proceedings filed in Italy. In particular, Andrea enjoys sharing her knowledge of Italian immigration law with her clients in order for them to better understand the process of applying for Italian citizenship via the court system. Her duties include retrieving vital records from the U.S. and Italy which are necessary to support her clients’ case, requesting the apostilles and preparing the translations of her clients’ legal documents. She also liaises between ICA’s attorneys and her clients throughout their citizenship application process.

In her spare time, Andrea likes travelling and hiking in the countryside.  She speaks fluent English, Italian, Croatian, Czech and conversational Portuguese.

VALENTINA DOBBO

Valentina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Culture Mediation; she has always been interested in foreign languages, anthropology and history.

During her undergraduate studies she took part in an Erasmus traineeship program and she moved to Bath, UK, where she worked as a trainee at the Holburne Museum. Her duties involved attending to customers, but she also helped organize cultural events. She also spent a few months in Córdoba, Spain, where she joined a volunteering project that promoted social integration and was designed to help minor children who came from disadvantaged backgrounds. Finally, Valentina also volunteered in Italy, where she taught Italian as a foreign language to adults and children.

At ICA Valentina helps clients retrieve and legalize all the documents needed for their citizenship application. Valentina is interested in several aspects of the dual citizenship process: she is very scrupulous when reviewing all of her clients’ documents and she has an eye for detail. In particular, she enjoys carrying out genealogical research to study her client’s family trees in depth and she helps them retrieve all the supporting documentation to apply for Italian citizenship by right of blood at Italian consulates abroad. She also reviews her clients’ documents in order to make sure that the information on all the vital records is coherent and consistent in order for their applications at Italian consulates to run as smoothly as possible.

In her free time Valentina loves traveling, reading and taking photos. She is fluent in Spanish and English.

GIULIA LIBANORE

ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP BY DESCENT SPECIALIST

Giulia graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Ferrara where she studied English and French translation. Prior to joining ICA Giulia worked as a language teacher and as a professional translator.

At ICA, Giulia helps clients apply for Italian citizenship by descent via consulates in the U.S. Giulia is very meticulous and detail-oriented and she thoroughly prepares her clients’ applications to ensure that the process runs smoothly and that there are no issues in the application that might negatively affect an outcome. She also takes care of preparing the requests to make corrections if there are discrepancies in the applicant’s ancestors’ vital records. These are mainly due to the fact that when Italians moved to the United States they anglicized their names and therefore Italian consulates require that applicants amend their family’s discrepancies on their vital records in order for the consulate to verify their Italian lineage.

In her free time Giulia loves painting, walking her dog, gardening, spending time with her family and traveling. She has a passion for history of art and she enjoys visiting art exhibitions and museums.

Giulia is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

ANJA KURTUSIC

ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP BY DESCENT EXPERT

Anja was born in Croatia where she studied International Tourism and Hospitality Management. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Economics in 2013. During her time at university she pursued an internship in the tourism industry in the states of California and New York. Anja also worked as an Area Representative for the “Camp Counselor USA” for three years, prepping first-time participants.

After graduating Anja travelled across Asia, Europe and the Caribbean working as a Sales Assistant for a subsidiary of LVMH Group. This working environment and the high standard of customer service helped her to understand the value and importance of excellent customer service and relationships.
Anja has always loved working in an international environment and while she worked in Europe, she developed an interest towards Italian history and culture, which ultimately led her to join ICA and help individuals with Italian descent apply for the recognition of Italian citizenship. In particular, Anja focuses on applications which are filed at consulates outside of the U.S. Anja makes sure that applicants meet the necessary residency requirements to apply and that all the legal documents comply with the consulates’ requirements.

She strongly believes in the importance of global mobility in today’s world and she encourages everyone to start working on their dream of reconnecting with their Italian heritage and enjoy the benefits of Italian citizenship.

MARTA GAJSKI

ITALIAN CITIZENSHIP BY DESCENT SPECIALIST

Marta was born in Rijeka, Croatia, where she obtained her Bachelor Degree in International Business. Upon graduation, she spent two years working and travelling in the U.S. During her time there, she was introduced to the Italian-American community, which motivated her to seek job opportunities which combined working in an international setting while learning about European history and culture.

Prior to joining ICA, Marta worked as a customer relations manager in a one of the largest international airports in U.S.
At ICA, she helps clients prepare all the necessary documents to apply for Italian citizenship by descent. In particular, she prepares the forms to request certified copies of the vital records from the U.S. and if there are discrepancies in her clients’ family’s vital records she takes care of requesting the appropriate corrections in order for the information on all the records to be consistent.
Marta enjoys helping people reconnect with their Italian heritage and she is also very interested in Italian history and culture.

In her free time, Marta enjoys travelling, reading and swimming. She is fluent in Italian, English and Croatian, and she is currently learning Spanish.

ALESSIA MONTANARI

Alessia holds a bachelor’s degree in modern languages for international communication and cooperation from the University of Padua.

Alessia has also worked in interpreting and translation, and has gained valuable experience in multiple branches of translation, including children’s literature translation. Particularly, she specialized in technical and legal translation into English and Spanish.

Alessia is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.

At ICA, Alessia assists clients throughout the Italian citizenship jure sanguinis process.
Alessia undertakes genealogical research to reconstruct ICA’s clients’ family tree, and supports them to retrieve the vital records, from Italy and the U.S., that are required to submit their citizenship application.

In her leisure time, Alessia is passionate about music and plays the flute, and loves being with her dogs. 

ALESSIA PIVA

Alessia holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Ferrara, and specialized in criminal law. During her studies, Alessia completed a six months internship at a notary public office. After graduating, she obtained a master’s degree in immigration and civil law. 

Alessia is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.

Alessia’s expertise in the fields of immigration and citizenship law make her one of the firm’s most valuable assets.
At ICA, Alessia provides assistance to clients in their citizenship application journey, and specializes in 1948 cases filed at local courts. Alessia is also responsible for retrieving the required vital records, assisting with amending potential discrepancies in the documents, and overseeing the legalization and translation processes.
A further aspect of her role is to support clients in their vital records and A.I.R.E registration, and in their Italian passport application, after they become Italian citizens.

During her leisure time, Alessia enjoys reading books and comic books, drawing and cooking. She has a deep passion for Japanese and Korean culture, and being with her pets.

FRANCESCA GALANTINI

Francesca holds a master’s degree in law from the Panthéon-Assas University Paris II.
The experience in France helped Francesca implement her French skills, and also allowed her to travel to new places and meet people from different cultures. 

Francesca is fluent in Italian, French and English.

At ICA, Francesca’s role is to assist clients throughout the process of applying for Italian citizenship by descent. A central task is to help clients retrieve the necessary vital records, and prepare the application in order to comply with the consulate’s specific requirements.
Francesca’s strong organizational skills and attention to detail means she is able to identify possible discrepancies and better assist the client.
Francesca also specializes in 1948 cases, which involves assisting clients in the first steps of applying for Italian citizenship through a female ancestor via a judicial procedure.

In her leisure time, Francesca enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, painting and going to the cinema.

GIULIA GALLI

Giulia graduated in “Languages for Communication in International Enterprises and Organizations” from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.

During her studies, Giulia participated in various exchange programs abroad where she had the opportunity to enhance her language skills.
Giulia also volunteered for an association that supported newly-arrived women immigrants to integrate into life in Italy and the local community.

Giulia is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.

At ICA, Giulia assists clients throughout the entire citizenship application process.

Giulia’s expertise allows her to assist clients in retrieving the necessary vital records, and reviewing and amending discrepancies in such records, which is an essential step to ensure that the information on the various documents is consistent and meets the consulates’ requirements.

During her leisure time, Giulia enjoys reading, painting, playing volleyball and traveling.

VALENTINA VENTRICE

Valentina obtained a bachelor’s degree in linguistic mediation from the University of Poitiers, and a master’s degree in public and cultural diplomacy from the University of Siena.

Valentina has worked in project management initiatives advocating for equal rights that promoted the work of female photographers.

Valentina is fluent in Italian, French, English, Spanish, and has working knowledge of Chinese.

At ICA, Valentina manages the retrieval of vital records that are required for court petitions. Valentina’s expertise is in the field of women’s rights make her a valuable asset for the firm, especially when it comes to complex 1948 cases involving female ancestors. She is also highly effective in the task of reviewing vital records to ensure they are submitted without any discrepancies that would jeopardize the case filed at court.

In her leisure time, Valentina enjoys studying religions, populations and society, going to the gym, swimming, and spending time with friends.

ROBERTA QUINTAVALLE

Roberta’s completed a degree in modern languages and culture at the University of Aldo Moro in Bari in 2021. She continued her studies at the same university after graduating, and successfully obtained her master’s degree in specialized translation in 2021.

Roberta also completed a postgraduate course in legal English, for which she produced a thesis on lexical differences between common law and civil law.

Throughout her academic journey Roberta worked with Italian children to enhance their English language skills. Concurrently, she began translating official EU guidelines for the ARPA (Regional Environmental Protection Agency). As part of her master’s program, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Bucharest as an Erasmus student for a period of seven months.

Roberta is fluent in English, German, French and Spanish.

Roberta’s role in ICA is to assist clients in the United States throughout the dual citizenship process. Some of her day-to-day responsibilities include conducting genealogical research and procuring all the necessary documents for citizenship applications.

During her free time, Roberta enjoys travelling, reading and practicing Pilates to maintain a balanced lifestyle. She is also very passionate about seasonal color analysis.
