SILVIA LIBANORE

Silvia is part of the translation team at ICA. She graduated in multimedia production at the University of Bologna, spending several months in Madrid, Spain, and later obtained her master’s degree in translation from the University of Turin. There, she specialized in audiovisual translation with a focus on accessibility and inclusive language. Prior to joining ICA she also had the opportunity to work for a company in Milan that deals with the adaptation and dubbing of TV shows for Netflix, Sky and other networks. Silvia also worked as a freelance translator for several websites and magazines. 

Silvia is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish. 

At ICA, Silvia’s role involves translating vital records and legal paperwork and, when needed, appearing before the court to swear that the translation is compliant with the original. 

In her free time, Silvia enjoys experimenting with plant-based food, writing and spending time with her beloved dog Kuma.

MARTINA PERDON

In 2022, Martina obtained a bachelor’s degree in language, civilization and the science of language at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where she developed her knowledge of English and Russian.
During her studies and work experiences, she had the opportunity to connect with many non-Italian speakers, such as German, Spanish and Russian, which she always enjoyed because of her interest in the differences in communication and culture.

Martina is part of ICA’s translation team, and her role is to give her expertise to provide an efficient translation service and help clients in their journey to securing Italian citizenship.

When she has the opportunity, Martina likes to treat herself by reading a Russian classic, watching a TV series or meeting friends for food and wine.

GIULIA GATTOLIN

Giulia’s fondness for languages developed at an early age, and she followed this curiosity by studying Latin and Ancient Greek, and then English and Spanish.
Giulia has a bachelor’s degree in linguistic and cultural mediation from the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. In her teenage years she attended several English language development courses, and traveled to England and the U.S. to study, spending time in New York City. 

Giulia also had the opportunity to live with a British family as part of an Erasmus program, which enabled her to delve into culture, traditions and lifestyle. During this time, Giulia also completed two internships, one in a private day nursery & learning center, and one with a special focus on linguistic and translation at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain.

Giulia is part of ICA’s team of translators, and her role at ICA is to translate applicants’ vital records and all the legal documents needed to apply for Italian citizenship by descent. Giulia also regularly appears before the officer appointed by the court, or the Justice of the Peace, presenting her translations and officially swearing that they’re true to the original content. 

A lifelong lover of idioms and writing, Giulia enjoys reading manga and watching TV series. She also loves movement: when not in the gym, she hikes in the mountains, skis and swims.

CATERINA LA COLLA

Caterina holds a master’s degree in specialized translation from the University of Trieste, where she specialized in English and Russian, as well as in audiovisual translation. 

After completing her master’s degree, Caterina focused on accessibility studies by attending a specialization course on museum audio description and subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing at the University of Macerata. Here she also had the opportunity to work on the AD of Villa d’Este in Rome.

Caterina is very passionate about Scandinavian culture and lived in Copenhagen in order to improve her Danish, which she speaks at an intermediate level. 

Caterina is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and

French. Caterina is a certified translator at ICA. Her role is to ensure that vital records are translated accurately and without discrepancies, which is essential when submitting an Italian citizenship application.

In her spare time, Caterina enjoys baking and spending some quality time with her family, as well as traveling around Europe and going out with her friends. She likes reading books, in particular those about the renaissance art and impressionism.

VERONICA BUSA

Veronica is an official sworn translator at ICA. In 2021, she received her BA in modern languages and translation at Cardiff University, specializing in Japanese to English translation. During her academic journey, she had the opportunity to spend eight transformative months in Japan, immersing herself in the culture and language while studying advanced Japanese at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto.

During her time in Japan, Veronica’s fascination with migrant authors and translators grew, becoming the focal point of her dissertation on “ekkyō honyaku,” or “border-crossing translation.” Her dedication to this project further fueled her passion for assisting clients at ICA, using her translation expertise to help them receive their Italian citizenship.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Veronica finds joy in attending concerts, exploring new destinations, experimenting with international recipes, and indulging in adorable animal content on social media, with the giant panda being her favorite.

SILVIA PASSAROTTO

ITALIAN SWORN TRANSLATOR AND INTERPRETER

Silvia is one of ICA’s official translators. In 2004 she obtained her Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literature. She majored in English, German, and French and obtained excellent academic results thanks to her passion for languages.

Silvia worked in a N.A.T.O. base in Northern Italy for nine years; she was the Executive Secretary for International Relations for the Rector of the University of Ferrara for five years; and she has worked as a judicial police officer of the Court, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Law Enforcement Department in Ferrara, Italy, since 2005. Silvia’s role at ICA is to translate all of ICA’s clients’ vital records, including legal paperwork for citizenship applications which must be filed in court via a judicial proceeding.

Silvia has lived in London, Frankfurt am Main, Heidelberg, Canton and Dubai. These experiences allowed her to grow both personally and professionally. She loves sport, traveling, and hi-tech.

Silvia is fluent in English, German, and French.

NICOL CAMPAGNOLO

Nicol is part of ICA’s translation team. She has always been interested in languages and therefore she decided to study Intercultural and Foreign Languages with a specialization in English, French and Spanish at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. Nicol also studied in France and in The Netherlands, and she worked as an interpreter and translator in Malaga, Spain and Cork, Ireland. Finally, she obtained a Master’s degree in Translation and Conference Interpreting at Università degli Studi Internazionali in Rome.

At ICA Nicol takes care of translating applicants’ vital records and all the legal documents needed to apply for Italian citizenship via Italian consulates in the U.S. and abroad. When translations need to be certified in court for a judicial proceeding or for an application filed at a municipality in Italy, Nicol appears before the court and she swears that the translations reflect the original content.

In her free time, Nicol practices yoga, she loves drawing and she does her best to read through her endless pile of books.

She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

ROBERTA MELONE

Roberta is part of ICA’s team of official translators. A language and culture enthusiast from a young age, Roberta began her English language journey privately at the age of five, taking numerous exams and certifications. During her teenage years, she seized the chance to participate in summer learning holidays, exploring various destinations such as England, Scotland, Ireland, New York City, and Washington D.C.

In 2018, she received her BA in translation and interpreting at the University of Pescara, specializing in English and German. Embracing the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ Programme, she spent a year in Germany, further honing her skills in translation and interpreting.

Roberta’s thirst for knowledge led her to the Alma Mater Studiorum University in Bologna, where she continued her studies in language and linguistics. In 2021, she successfully earned her master’s degree in language, society, and communication.

At ICA Roberta takes care of translating the vital records and legal documents needed to support her clients’ applications for Italian citizenship by descent.

Beyond her linguistic pursuits, Roberta adores cats and finds joy in traveling, cooking, painting, and nurturing plants.

Her linguistic repertoire includes fluency in Italian, English, and German.

MARTA TOCE

Marta holds bachelor’s degree in language mediation and a master’s degree in modern languages for international communication and cooperation.
Marta’s expertise are in translation and interpreting in English, Spanish, and Russian. Marta spent time in Moscow, where she gained an advanced Russian language certificate at the Institut Imena Puškina.
Marta has also travelled abroad and attended language programs in England, Spain, Ireland and San Diego (USA).
Marta also won the MAECI-MIUR internship at Italian consulates abroad and completed an internship as a translator and interpreter at the Italian Institute of Culture in San Francisco.

Marta has extensive work experience in translation and following her studies Marta spent one year as an English and Italian teacher in Tjumen’ (Siberia-Russia). Marta has also worked as a Russian interpreter for Ukrainian war refugees and as a translator at GSK, a multinational pharmaceutical company.

Marta is fluent in Italian, English, Russian and Spanish.

As part of ICA’s team of official sworn translators, Marta assists clients in the translation of vital records and legal documents needed to acquire the Italian citizenship. Once translations are completed, Marta appears before the court to swear that the translation content is compliant with the original.

During her leisure time, Marta enjoys travelling, reading, watching movies, and spending quality time with her friends.

TOFFEE VANELLI

Toffee obtained her bachelor’s degree in cultural mediation in 2019 and her master’s degree in modern languages for communication and international cooperation in 2021, specializing in English and French.
In the field of specialized translation, Toffee has worked in different European countries and international environments, including the European Parliament.

Toffee is fluent in Italian, English, French and Greek.

As part of ICA’s team of sworn translators, Toffee’s role involves translating the clients’ vital records and other legal documents essential to apply for Italian citizenship.

In her leisure time, Toffee plays the guitar and enjoys long walks. She loves sports, travelling and music.

VALENTINA CISCATO

Valentina received her BA in linguistic mediation, translation and interpreting at Ciels University in Padua. Throughout her studies, she focused on literary and technical translation, interpreting and international relations, with specific interest United States, working with English and Spanish.

Valentina is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.

Valentina is a sworn translator in ICA, and her role is to translate clients’ vital records and documents that are needed to apply for Italian citizenship.
In the cases whereby translations need to be certified for judicial proceedings, Valentina appears before the court or the notary in order to swear that the translation content is compliant with the original.

In her leisure time, Valentina enjoys reading books and watching history documentaries.

YACINE FALL

Yacine obtained her bachelor’s degree in applied foreign languages, which included a year abroad in Birmingham through the Erasmus program. Yacine then completed a master’s degree in translation, interpreting, and linguistic mediation in Toulouse, where she specialized in various fields of translation. During her studies, Yacine notably worked on audiovisual translation, subtitling two television series for Amazon.

Yacine is fluent in Italian, English and French.

Yacine is part of the ICA’s translation team, and her role as as a sworn translator at ICA involves translating all documents and vital records needed to apply for Italian citizenship.

In her leisure time, Yacine enjoys immersing herself in books, staying active through sports, and exploring new destinations.
